2021 has been a very strange year. As we began to emerge on the other side of the COVID-19 pandemic, people started returning to sporting events, concerts, and movie theaters.

It was an interesting year for the film industry as we saw some studios, such as Warner Brothers, elect to go the streaming route—dropping their new releases on HBO Max at the same time as theaters—with others sticking to strictly theater-only showings.

While it's been a weird year, it's also been a pretty great one for movies with a variety of different films taking center stage as must-see releases. Two of ONE37pm's resident movie buffs, myself and Bo Templin, decided to do a deep dive into what movies we loved in 2021 so far and which we are still most excited about as the year wraps up.

They got together at ONE37pm's New York office and broke down the movies they loved and why they did.
