‘Avengers: Endgame’ Spoilers: Lego Toys May Have Revealed These 3 Things

Lego’s bricks, accessories and minifigures can be many things—like buildings, weapons and superheroes. Now, these toys might also be movie spoilers.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, we know the Russo brothers, the sibling filmmakers behind the upcoming Avengers: Endgame, just launched a #DontSpoilTheEndgame hashtag campaign on social media. And we won’t know if these Lego “spoilers” are actually concrete spoilers until the film drops on April 26 (but we do have seven wild theories for how Endgame will unfold).

That said, Lego has released five Endgame-themed toy sets, which vary in size and price:

  • Captain America: Outriders Attack: 167 pieces; $20
  • War Machine Buster: 362 pieces; $35
  • Iron Man Hall of Armor: 524 pieces; $60
  • Avengers Ultimate Quinjet: 838 pieces; $80
  • Avengers Compound Battle: 699 pieces; $100

We’re going to focus on two of the sets, the Avengers Compound Battle and the Iron Man Hall of Armor, which both hint at potential plot points for Endgame.

1. Thanos attacks the Avengers with a new weapon

The word battle is in the product name of the Avengers Compound Battle, and the product description tells the consumer to “monitor Thanos and the Outriders’ approach to the Avengers HQ with the radar” and to “activate the rooftop defense system.” The box art also shows Thanos wielding a “double-sided battle axe,” which hints at his Infinity Gauntlet not working properly. And if you zoom in closer, you can see that the Lego Infinity Gauntlet features only two of the six gems needed for maximum power (the Time Stone and the Power Stone). Thanos must need something from inside the compound.

2. Hulk returns and Iron Man gets new armor

The Incredible Hulk was all but incredible in Infinity War with his notable absence in the battle against the Mad Titan. The Avengers Compound Battle toy set hints that our un-jolly green giant somehow returns to proper brute form in Endgame. Additionally, it appears the Iron Man minifigure is wearing armor that hasn’t been seen in the films yet. The armor looks very much like Tony Stark’s Mark 85 suit. Both reveals would incite cheering in theaters everywhere.

3. The Hall of Armor returns through time travel

Stark’s mansion and its Hall of Armor were destroyed in an airstrike during Iron Man 3, so it’s quite intriguing to see it being used as an Endgame-themed Lego set. Could time travel or flashbacks take us back to his Hall of Armor for an important story line? The box art shows computer screens with a call from Agent Phil Coulson being blocked, as well as Stark’s artificially intelligent computer J.A.R.V.I.S. seemingly doing some work. The product description says the set includes five minifigures: Iron Man MK 1, Iron Man MK 5, Iron Man MK 41, Iron Man MK 50 and an Outrider. It looks as though the past and present might collide via time travel magic.
