Sure, you remember Linkin Park as the rap-rock pioneers who first came "crawling" into our lives in the 2000s. But did you know they're also expert investors, particularly the group's co-founder, Mike Shinoda?

Shinoda and his bandmates once launched venture capital firm Machine Shop Ventures, investing in startups such as on-demand car transportation app Lyft, investment service Robinhood and coffee company Blue Bottle.

Shinoda, who's also known for his hip-hop solo project Fort Minor, has also put his own money into music brands like Apple, Spotify and Sonos

Are you surprised to see that Shinoda is going hard in the investment game? Or is that just part of being a successful modern musician?
