With more than 48 million monthly Spotify listeners worldwide, reggaeton singer J Balvin has bested streaming behemoth Drake as the most-streamed artist on Spotify as of June 2018.
The release of J Balvin's fifth studio album in May helped push the 33-year-old to the top spot. His song "Mi Gente" with Willy William has been streamed more than 327 million times. Overall streams for Latin music increased 110 percent in 2017 on Spotify, thanks to the popularity of "Mi Gente," "Despacito" and other Latin songs.
