Geoff Keighley is doing the lord's work this summer. Once the news of this year's E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) started circulating through the gaming sphere, everyone looked to the man behind The Game Awards to come through and save us all. Thankfully, he's doing just that by arriving with a live streaming event that's set to come with some major gameplay trailers and reveals. For a proper recap of that event, you've come to the right place for all the trailers and highlights from the Summer Game Fest 2022. 'Street Fighter 6'

Capcom debuted a character trailer for America's Hero, Guile. He's now sporting a new beard and a fresh military jumpsuit to boot. As far as his moveset goes, his signature Sonic Boom and Flash Kick make their welcome return. His cinematic super move stands out as the most impressive, which you're most likely going to replay a million and one times before Street Fighter 6 launches.

'Aliens: Dark Descent'

Yep, we're getting another playable squad-based foray into the Alien universe! Aliens: Dark Descent is a single-player action/real-time strategy game where you'll play alongside your fellow marines and engage in intense real-time combat with an army of rampaging Xenomorphs.

'The Callisto Protocol'

We got a short but sweet gameplay demo for the upcoming survival horror game, The Callisto Protocol. And as expected, the comparisons to Dead Space are on full display here as this new IP's main character fends off horribly disfigured creatures with a wealth of firearms and also gets killed off in the most disturbingly gory ways possible.

'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II' (2022)

We got a deep look at a piece of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II's single-player campaign with this new footage. The soldiers put on display during this exciting gameplay sequence can be seen using stealthy maneuvers to make their way through a cargo ship. And of course, all hell breaks loose as those soldiers eventually run into the opposition they've been hunting and gunfire quickly erupts. The action hits hard and fast, so expect even more greatness from Call of Duty's quality campaigns when this latest entry in the Modern Warfare sub-series drops.

'Flashback 2'

So for those not old enough to remember it, Flashback is a science fiction cinematic platform game that was originally released in 1992. Now we're due for an all-new entry in the series that's coming in the form of an unexpected sequel.

'Witchfire'

The Astronauts' upcoming first-person shooter known as Witchfire gave us some new gameplay footage to tide us over until it launches in Early Access for PC via Epic Games Store.

'Fort Solis'

Noted voice actors Troy Baker and Roger Clark are set to be featured in the upcoming indie game called Fort Solis. This one looks to be a survival horror game that sees a lone traveler fight for his life during a crucial mission on Mars.

'Routine'

Here's another space-based adventure game! And this one is called Routine, which will come with a soundtrack composed by the legendary Mick Gordon (DOOM, Killer Instinct, Wolfenstein, etc.). The survival horror vibes are also pretty strong here as this trailer shows the main character having to explore a derelict locale and fight off killer androids.

'Outriders: Worldslayer'

Outriders is still going strong! A trailer for the game's new expansion called Worldslayer was revealed and it gives fans a sneak peek at all the elemental madness and furious gunplay they've become enamored with. This expansion is set to arrive with new maps, new foes, new pieces of gear, and plenty more fresh content.

'Stormgate'

If you're a diehard Starcraft 2 fan, then you'll want to pay attention to this new PC real-time strategy experience. Stormgate comes from a development studio helmed by ex-Blizzard developers, so the pedigree of the talent behind this new IP sounds pretty legit.

'Highwater'

Demagog Studio showed up to showcase its new action/adventure game called Highwater, which sees players trying to navigate a world stricken by the severe after-effects of climate change.

'American Arcadia'

Prepare to wander through a sinister reality show set in the 1970s with this playable escape fantasy experience called American Arcadia. The development studio behind this one is Out of the Blue, which is known for its work on Call of the Sea.

'Goat Simulator 3'

Wait, why's there no Goat Simulator 2? And how come this trailer gave off Dead Island 2 vibes? Anyways, Goat Simulator 3 fully embraces the mayhem present in the first game and looks to increase the crazy factor by including co-op this time around.

'Marvel's Midnight Suns'

Marvel's Midnight Suns came out of hiding to show off a bunch of new characters that'll be playable, which include Spider-Man, Venom, Sabretooth, Scarlet Witch, and the Hulk. The release date for this Marvel real-time strategy RPG is slated for October 7.

'Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course'

We got a new gameplay trailer for the soon-to-be-released Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course, which is dropping on June 30. Shout out to whoever was behind the sticks for this boss fight because he or she managed to pull off a victory without getting hit one time.

'Neon White'

Developer Angel Matrix's super trippy first-person shooter/puzzle-platformer Neon White got its time to shine during this showcase. Various cards will be the focus here as they act as the player's weapons while they attempt to take down a wealth of enemies while also trying to reach a specified goal on each stage. Neon White is launching on June 16.

'Midnight Fight Express'

So a single father hailing from Poland is single-handedly developing this action-packed indie game. Midnight Fight Express looks to be a super chaotic top-down brawler/shooter that looks like a mix between Hotline Miami and Sifu. This intriguing brawler is set to drop on August 23.

'Warframe: The Duviri Paradox'

Warframe is one of the most well-known ongoing games that's still getting expansions in this day and age. This cinematic trailer for The Duviri Paradox add-on content was pretty much set up as a precursor to its full gameplay reveal at TennoCon 2022, which is dated July 16.

'Honkai: Star Rail'

Developer miHoYo (Genshin Impact) showed off two upcoming works. The first one was Honkai: Star Rail, which is a free-to-play 3D tactical RPG. Familiar faces and alternate versions of the characters hailing from Honkai Impact 3rd will make an appearance in this new series installment.

'Zenless Zone Zero'

miHoYo's other in-development project that was shown off here is called Zenless Zone Zero. This fast-paced action RPG embraces the whole "urban fantasy" theme as it features flashy combat sequences that make it look as if it were made by PlatinumGames.

'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge'

Now we finally know when this brand new TMNT beat 'em up is coming out. And it's actually really soon! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge will be launching on June 16 - this hype world premiere trailer showcases the addition of Casey Jones as a playable character and the local/online-enabled six-player co-op mode.

'One Piece Odyssey'

The newest trailer for One Piece Odyssey delved into more of the game's original plot and newly created characters made specifically for this major turn-based RPG.

'Metal: Hellsinger'

DOOM fanatics should definitely add this rhythm-based FPS to their wishlist, especially since it now has a final release date of September 15. As a matter of fact, you can play the game for yourself before launch now that a demo is out across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

'The Quarry'

Just one day before its release on June 10, a new trailer for The Quarry hit our screens. At this point, you probably have a clear idea of what to expect here - sudden frights, big decisions to consider, and plenty of replayability as you try to see all the multiple endings that come from your repeated playthroughs.

'Saints Row' (2022)

The 2022 Saints Row reboot is prepped for release on August 23. In the meantime though, you can hop into the newly released character creator demo for the game and upload your custom avatar to the Cloud so he/she is there on day one once this game launches.

'Nightingale'

Nightingale comes from developer/publisher Inflexion Games and it is slated to drop sometime later this Fall. This co-op experience mashes up the themes of first-person combat, PVE elements, and open-world survival/crafting concepts.

'Warhammer 40,000: Darktide'

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide's latest delivery of gameplay footage showed off a game that could become a destination for avid fans of co-op shooters. Players will get the opportunity to choose a character from one of four classes (Veteran, Zealot, Ogryn, and Psyker) and wreak havoc alongside their teammates.

'Layers of Fears'

Developer Bloober Team unveiled its "psychological horror chronicle" project, Layers of Fear. It's being developed in Unreal Engine 5 and is being pitched as a sort of remaster/sequel that builds on everything that's been featured in previous series entries.

'Gotham Knights'

Nightwing and one of his alternate looks were the main showpieces here for this new cinematic trailer for Gotham Knights.

'The Last of Us Part 1'

Before this gaming showcase got underway, Sony accidentally leaked the debut trailer for the upcoming PS5 and PC remake, The Last of Us Part I. But we also learned that the standalone multiplayer component for The Last of Us is still being worked on (we got a good look at the multiplayer's concept art, which shows how big the scope for it will hopefully be).

'Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium'

Capcom is honoring its arcade origins once again with a new collection of classic games within the upcoming Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium, which is set to drop on July 22. A whole bunch of side-scrolling beat'em ups, vertical/horizontal shoot 'em ups, fighting games, and so much more will be included in this amazing nod to Capcom's coin-op past.

'Soul Hackers 2'

The first English voiceover trailer for the new Atlus RPG Soul Hackers 2 was unveiled - now we have a clear idea of how the game's main character will sound with an English voice actor performing her lines.

'HUMANKIND'

Sega and Amplitude Studios' turn-based strategy 4X game HUMANKIND is now making its way over to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and Xbox One on November 4.
