Who Is 21 Lil Harold? Get to Know Atlanta's Up and Coming Hip-Hop Star

Pedro Flores/@pedrof_9615

We know not much about Atlanta rapper 21 Lil Harold, but he sure is currently making a splash in the hip-hop scene. Harold, hailing from Summerhill in Atlanta, is a longtime friend of 21 Savage. This friendship helped Harold receive cosign from his colleague on Slaughter Gang Entertainment.

Harold recently released his latest project, Larry, in March of 2021. The reception of Larry has put Harold on a pedestal across streaming and social media platforms alike. Songs such as "Savage" and "Down Bad" are receiving a lot of traction, with several music videos on Harold's YouTube channel receiving hundreds of thousands of views.

In "Savage", the song is introduced with a children's church chorus that sings about a loved one who has passed. Then Harold goes in on the theme, rapping about his enemies and paying homage to his deceased loved one.

The album pays homage to an acquaintance of 21 Savage and 21 Lil Harold, Larry, who died in a shootout in 2011. It was apparent in an interview with The Fader in 2016 that Larry meant a lot to the 2100 Street Gang, the same gang with which both Harold and Savage are affiliated, with Savage saying Larry was his "left-hand" man.

The release of Larry comes as a follow-up to Harold's debut EP "Keep IT 21", released in May of 2020. Since then, Harold has been releasing music videos for songs such as "Tayman," "TIP," and "Roc."
