This is how you turn a negative into a positive. Actor Jason Momoa, who appeared in ten Game of Thrones episodes as the leader of the Dothraki warriors Khal Drogo, just revealed that he was on such a tight budget while filming his parts nearly a decade ago that he couldn’t afford a plane ticket home between shoots.

“While filming Game of Thrones we had a lil break. We were too broke to fly home so we rented a panel van aka U-Haul in Belfast and drove around beautiful amazing Ireland searching for the greatest pint of Guinness. Turns out it’s perfect everywhere,” Momoa wrote on Instagram. “So many wonderful people and stories I treasure those times. It was the simplest moments I remember the most.”

In the throwback photo, Momoa is all smiles hanging out in the rented van. It’s just one of several old photographs that Game of Thrones' cast members have been sharing to commemorate the HBO show’s final season, which concluded on May 19 with a record 19.3 million viewers, eight years after debuting in 2011.
