With the summer transfer window upon us, it's a great time to start looking at the most valuable soccer players in the world.

Elite talents from across the globe will compete later this year at the 2022 World Cup and the buzz is really getting louder.

Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are all household names that will generate significant attention when the World Cup kicks off in Qatar.

Meanwhile, breakout stars from the United States, Canada and other nations will look to put their imprint on the biggest soccer competition globally.

Transfermarkt released the values of players across the soccer world and ONE37pm is looking at the most valuable players right now in 2022.

Here's a closer look at the 10 players with the top values heading into the summer months.

1. Kylian Mbappe - PSG

Value: $176 million

Mbappe is widely viewed as the next big attraction in the sport, paving the way for a new generation after Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The French superstar has a value of over $176 million and he just signed a new contract at PSG so it could be a few years before he entertains a move to another club.

2. Erling Haaland - Manchester City

Value: $165 million

After several seasons at Borussia Dortmund, Haaland has put himself on the map as one of the elite goal scorers.

Haaland made a significant move to Manchester City recently and now the Norwegian striker will test himself in England.

He's worth roughly $165 million and it's truly hard to imagine that value not increasing given every club's need for a top-end finisher.

3. Vinicius Jr. - Real Madrid

Vinicius Jr. leads the way for the next generation of Brazilian superstars that also features players like Antony and Raphinha.

The Brazilian just helped his Madrid side win Champions League and Vinicius' value continues to soar. He's worth roughly $110 million in 2022.

4. Mohamed Salah - Liverpool

Value: $110 million

Salah is the top winger in football at this stage of his career and the Egyptian continues to get better under Jurgen Klopp.

The Liverpool star is worth $110 million and with his contract at Anfield expiring next summer the Egyptian could be looking for a new challenge in 2023.

5. Harry Kane - Tottenham

The England star has helped The Three Lions come close on several occasions at major tournaments, including Euro 2020.

Kane has been the subject of transfer rumors for some time but the Tottenham superstar has stayed put so far. He's valued at around $110 million ahead of the World Cup.

6. Phil Foden - Manchester City

Foden has only started to scratch the surface at Manchester City and that's scary both for their club and the England national team.

The Man City prodigy is headed to the World Cup with England later this year and has already won multiple Premier League titles.

He's worth nearly $99 million and his insane positional versatility is a major reason why.

7. Bruno Fernandes - Manchester United

Fernandes has spent several seasons at Manchester United and become an influential figure in the side's attack.

He'll look to build out his resume further at the World Cup where he can pair with world-class talents like Ronaldo, Bernardo Silva and Rafael Leao.

De Bruyne is simply one of the best midfielders in the world.

The Belgian continues to raise his level both at Man City and with the national team. He'll be immensely important for the Red Devils in the World Cup if they want to finally break through.

Vlahovic completed a massive move to Juventus back in January and the Serbian has the potential to really become one of the game's best strikers.

The Juventus scorer will be one of the key players featuring in his first World Cup when Serbia arrives in Qatar.
