WrestleMania. Royal Rumble. SummerSlam. Survivor Series. Those four tentpole shows have long been considered the most critical PPVs in WWE history. And in the current day and age of WWE, PPVs are now referred to as PLEs (Premium Live Events) and a fifth supershow has been added to the lineup above - Money in the Bank. To show just how significant this year's installment of the annual show is, WWE is heading to London, England to present two exciting ladder matches and so much more in The O2 Arena. Fun fact, by the way - this will be the first Money in the Bank event to be held outside of the US, plus it'll be WWE's first major event to be held in London since Insurrextion (May 2002) and England in general since Insurrextion (June 2003). Now with all that extra info out of the way, let's ascend the ladder to future championship glory as I detail my WWE Money in the Bank 2023 predictions.

WWE Money in the Bank 2023: Matches and Predictions
WWE Money in the Bank 2023 Predictions
Zelina Vega vs. Becky Lynch vs. Zoey Stark vs. Bayley vs. Iyo Sky vs. Trish Stratus (Money in the Bank Ladder Match for a Women's Championship Match Contract)
Preview & Predictions: We're in the year 2023 and one of the most celebrated ladies in wrestling history has come out of retirement to compete in a Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Truly, what a time it is to be alive as a modern-day wrestling fan! Trish Stratus is pulling up to this show to attempt to win the briefcase she's never gotten a chance to hold, which makes this match so intriguing. Now off rip, I gotta set Zelina Vega and Zoey Stark to the side - I love them to death, but everyone and their mom know they have 0 chance of winning here.
Now the clear standouts as far as top picks for the winner are Becky Lynch, Bayley, Iyo Sky, and Stratus. When I think about Lynch and Trish, I see those two targeting each other the most and preventing one another from ascending the ladder to the promised land. Bayley has already won the MITB and has the veteran experience needed to capture another briefcase for herself - I just don't see her getting her second MITB win this time, though. I'm predicting a first-time MITB victor here and it's going to be Sky.
She'll shock the world and her fellow Damage CTRL stable mate by retrieving the briefcase, which will further lead to the breakup of the group itself and result in Sky furthering her high spot on the WWE roster as she enters a new feud with Bayley.
Gunther (c) vs. Matt Riddle (WWE Intercontinental Championship)
Preview & Predictions: Matt Riddle has 0 fear. He also might not have a ton of brain cells left since he's chosen to step up to one of the most dominant Intercontinental Champions of all time. And that's none other than the all-powerful Gunther, who's been on a tear as he's delivered Match of the Year candidates and brought the IC Championship back to the 80s-90s prominence it so richly deserves. Riddle and Gunther are going to put on a hard-hitting banger here with plenty of stiff chops, kicks, and suplexes that'll make me and everyone else watching them wince. I have all the confidence in the world for this prediction, though - Gunther's not losing a damn thing here!
Cody Rhodes vs. Dominik Mysterio
Preview & Predictions: Dominik Mysterio went from a bumbling smiling babyface to a slimeball heel that gets the loudest boos every time his music hits. His current role as a member of The Judgment Day has propelled him up to be not only one of Raw's top heels but WWE's top bad guys period. And now he's getting put into another prime-time spot on a PLE to contend with one of WWE's biggest babyfaces on the roster, Cody Rhodes. I figured Cody would be thrown into the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match, win, and issue a challenge to Roman Reigns for SummerSlam. But alas, that isn't the case. This extra speed bump along Cody's road back to "finishing the story" will result in him defeating Dominik in a match that I think might turn out a lot better than most fans expect.
Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler (c) vs. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez (Unified WWE Women's Tag Team Championship)
Preview & Predictions: Next up on my lineup of WWE Money in the Bank 2023 predictions is this matchup for the brand new Unified WWE Women's Tag Team Championship, which is being held by the MMA powerhouse team of Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler. This past May, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were forced to vacate the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship due to an injury suffered by Liv. And in the months since that unfortunate event, Ronda and Shayna have claimed those titles and the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship titles by defeating Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn to unify the belts. Just by looking at this matchup, my gut tells me WWE's going to rely on Ronda's star power to elevate the unified titles and Shayna's position on the roster for months to come. A comeback win for Liv and Raquel would be great, but I just know that that result won't come to pass here. The champs are retaining!
Ricochet vs. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. LA Knight vs. Santos Escobar vs. Butch vs. Damian Priest vs. Logan Paul (Money in the Bank Ladder Match for a Men's Championship Match Contract)
Preview & Predictions: I like the dynamic put in place for this year's Men's MITB matchup. Two MITB veterans (Ricochet and Shinsuke Nakamura) will be mixing it up here with five MITB first-timers (LA Knight, Santos Escobar, Butch, Damian Priest, and Logan Paul). So right off the back, I think that you can write off the two vets as emerging as the winner of this match - Ricochet and Nakamura are great and all, but their world championship prospects don't measure up to anything meaningful these days. Escobar and Butch are the dark horse contenders here that would legit shock everyone if either of them won. But let's be real here - neither one of them is leaving with the briefcase.
The three guys that have the highest chance of winning this all-important Ladder Match are Logan, Priest, and Knight. Giving the briefcase to Logan so early into his WWE career would feel like they're giving him way too much at this point, which I'm sure WWE realizes. So I can't see him getting the win here. Priest has proven himself to be one of Raw's best up-and-coming stars - he puts on great matches, gets good crowd reactions, and looks to be on the outs with his stable. That could lead to him transitioning into a big babyface run later this year and the briefcase would be a nice addition to that change in character.
But in my opinion, Knight's going to be the winner here - his star burns a lot brighter than Priest's right now and the fans want more for him. WWE must realize this, so I think they'll strap the rocket to his back and give him the push of a lifetime as Mr. MITB 2023. YEAH!
Seth "Freakin" Rollins (c) vs. Finn Bálor (World Heavyweight Championship)
Preview & Predictions: My how the tables have turned! At SummerSlam 2016, both men locked horns for the very first time in a match to determine the inaugural WWE Universal Champion. Finn Bálor played the part of the hyped-up babyface while Seth Rollins took on the role of the determined heel - in the end, Bálor emerged victorious. But sadly, an injury suffered during the match led to Bálor ending up on the shelf and being forced to relinquish the title he just won the night before. And since that unfortunate incident, Bálor hasn't received many world championship opportunities while Rollins has gotten plenty of them & claimed championship glory on numerous occasions.
Now in 2023, Bálor is a full-blown bad guy who leads his stable while Seth "Freakin" Rollins has embraced being a good guy that the crowd gets behind by singing his theme song even when he's giving a promo. Since Rollins just got his hands on the brand-new World Heavyweight Championship, I just can't envision him losing it so early into his run. I think WWE wants Rollins to run with the belt for a very long time - Bálor is being set up here to add another impressive notch to Rollins' successful championship defense column. I'm predicting a clean win from Rollins here, ladies and gentlemen!
Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa vs. The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso)
Preview & Predictions: Even Martin Scorsese would call The Bloodline storyline cinema! The latest chapter in WWE's best ongoing storyline has resulted in Jey & Jimmy Uso finally tiring of Roman Reigns' tyrannical rule as their stable leader and superkicking him right out of their lives. And with that act, we've now arrived at one of the most important tag team matches of all time that's been dubbed the "Bloodline Civil War." On one side are The Usos, who are fully prepared to get their well-deserved revenge on their former leader and his right hand of destruction. And on the other, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion is ready to destroy his allies turned enemies right alongside Solo Sikoa.
Here's how I see this one going down - Sikoa will end up in the ring with Jey Uso in a super tense moment near the closing stretch of this match. The conflicted feelings felt by both brothers will build up to a fever pitch to the point where the crowd will come even more unglued. Reigns will run into the ring in a rage and question why Sikoa hasn't finished off Jey to bring this grudge match to a close. With Sikoa and Reigns distracted, The Usos will land a final series of superkicks on both men. Reigns will get knocked out of the ring, The Usos will finish off Sikoa, and the twins will emerge with the win. My WWE Money in the Bank 2023 predictions also points to weeks and weeks of tension building between Reigns and Sikoa to the point where Sikoa shockingly abandons The Bloodline, too!
