"BIG ENERGY" IS A BIG HIT FOR LATTO
The success of “Big Energy” has made rising Atlanta rapper Latto the first female artist across any genre to do something in particular that hasn’t been done in over a decade.
The lead single to her sophomore album 777 has grabbed the No. 1 spot on the US Pop, Rhythmic and Urban radio formats. This marks the first time in 12 years for a female vocalist to accomplish this.
The rapper now joins the ranks of Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna and Mariah Carey as the only women to land a No. 1 song on the three radio formats.
Latto also becomes the first female rapper with this major accomplishment.
The crossover hit reached the top 10 of Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart.
Steadily climbing the charts since its release last year, “Big Energy” has so far peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.
