Should you take the wheel in this LEGO-themed racer or stay off the road?

Find out in our review!

Speeding, drifting, surfing across the sea, and going airborne across varied hub worlds as you race and explore feels and looks impressive.

Fun Racing and Exploration

PRO 1

Being able to pick up weapons and items lends this game some cool kart racing mechanics that keep things interesting.

Onroad Weapons Carnage

PRO 2

The LEGO vibes are strong here since you can create your own rides and customize them extensively. Unlocking Minifigs is cool, too!

Tons of Customization

PRO 3

Besides racing, there are some cool side objectives that boil down to retrieving things, smashing foes, and taking massive leaps.

Fun Minigames

PRO 4

There are a few minigames that don't work well within the confines of a racing game - pushing pieces of tumbleweed into one area sucks.

Not So Fun Minigames

CON 1

For a game aimed at kids, the abundance of microtransactions and the high prices attached to them are simply unforgivable.

Insane Microtransitions

CON 2

Final Score

7.75/10

'LEGO 2K Drive' is a quality racer with tons to do, see, and create.

Some of its minigames are lacking and the paid content is too pricey, though.
