Does this zany cartoon brawler successfully build upon the solid foundation put forth by its predecessor or drop the ball?

Find out in this review.

This sequel looks drastically better than the first game - the characters and stages pop off the screen way more than before. Plus the music's actually listenable!

PRO 1: Crispier Visuals
and Audio

The weightier feel of the characters, the discernible impact that comes from landing attacks, and the more precise movement speed come together wonderfully.

PRO 2: Combat That Just Feels Right

The newly added "Slime" mechanic adds an extra layer of combo potential to the chaotic battles at hand. Plus those cinematic super moves look awesome!

PRO 3: TIME TO SLIME!

The game's roguelike campaign, arcade mode, fun minigames, and online multiplayer suite powered by rollback netcode all make for a worthwhile package.

PRO 4: Meaningful Content

Cutting out many of the first game's characters and relegating a few of them to NPCs is a crime - fans want Master Shredder, Powdered Toast Man, and CatDog!

CON 1: Character Omissions

'Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2' is a massive upgrade over the first game thanks to a stronger presentation, more satisfying combat, and a wealth of content to enjoy.

 FINAL SCORE: 8.75/10
