NOVEMBER 17, 2023

Is the latest 'WarioWare' another fun foray into bizarre "microgames?" Or is the formula starting to grow a bit stale? Find out in this review.

The cartoony cutscenes, myriad art styles that come into play during assorted microgames, and catchy tunes that play during them are all pretty admirable.

PRO 1

Wonderful Presentation and Sound

You and your friends will have fun pulling off strange body positions and performing weird tasks thanks to a huge array of hilarious motion-controlled minigames.

PRO 2

Motion-Controlled
Madness

This game is the perfect local multiplayer experience thanks to Party Mode's inclusion of modes from past series installments and the new board game mode.

PRO 3

Party Mode Rules

The story mode playthrough is fine and all, but the lack of additional solo content (such as an online leaderboard, score challenge, or time attack mode) is a bummer.

CON 1

Single Player is... Eh

Some of the more complex body poses this game asks you to don't always register like you figured they would thanks to some finicky motion controls.

CON 2

Wonky Poses Don't Work All That Well

Final Score

7.5/10

'WarioWare: Move It!' is a solid entry in the off-the-wall minigames franchise - while it has its issues, it still manages to be amusing, charming, and multiplayer-friendly.
