There’s a wealth of specialty match stipulations within the wide and wonderful world of professional wrestling.

When the time comes for a feud to reach its definitive end, two (or more) combatants choose to participate in a Last Man Standing match, a Ladder Match, a Street Fight, an I Quit match, etc. When three wrestlers have been chosen to decide who’s truly the greatest at the very same time, then they’re usually booked in the bout either referred to as a Three-Way Dance or the commonly used moniker known as a Triple Threat Match. WWF/WWE, WCW, ECW, ROH, TNA/Impact Wrestling, AEW, and several other notable wrestling feds have produced their own collection of amazing Triple Threat matches.

We happened to find 16 of the very best and are ready to describe just how integral they were to the betterment of wrestling as a whole.

1. Terry Funk vs. The Sandman vs. Stevie Richards (ECW Barely Legal)

ECW Barely Legal was the first-ever PPV for the up-and-coming wrestling company at the time. First-time viewers were treated to an underground company that delivered hardcore action and mature storylines within an arena full of bloodthirsty fans. The match that truly made headlines that night was the Three-Way Dance that determined who would wrestle Raven for the ECW World Heavyweight Championship right after. Terry Funk came in as the aging yet cagey veteran, the beloved beer guzzler The Sandman, and the young & spry Stevie Richards. This match was pure insanity from start to finish - Funk whipped out his trusty Moonsault, a whole lot of ladder brutality came into play, and a slew of even more brutal three-man exchanges capped off this jaw-dropping co-main event.

2. Diamond Dallas Page vs. Chris Benoit vs. Raven (WCW Uncensored 1998)

3. Carlito vs. Johnny Nitro vs. Shelton Benjamin (WWE Vengeance 2006)

4. Dolph Ziggler vs. Cesaro vs. Tyson Kidd (WWE SmackDown - 11/14/14)

5. Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Brock Lesnar (WWE Fastlane 2016)

6. Prince Devitt vs. Kota Ibushi vs. Low Ki (NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 7)

At the time of this match, NJPW’s Jr. Heavyweight division was ruled by three of the best wrestlers in the world. When the time came for all three of them to come to blows at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s biggest show of the year, fans were locked in for something legendary. And thankfully, that’s exactly what we got here. This match moves a mile a minute and features some jaw-dropping spots with everyone involved. Watching Low Ki plant Kota Ibushi with a Ki Crusher and immediately having his pinfall attempt get broken up by a Double Foot Stomp from Prince Devitt is pretty awe-inspiring. There were a lot of moving parts to this match, but they all came together wonderfully in execution.

7. Christopher Daniels vs. Bryan Danielson vs. Low Ki (ROH The Era of Honor Begins)

8. Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch (WWE WrestleMania 32)

9. Randy Orton vs. Batista vs. Daniel Bryan (WWE WrestleMania 30)

10. Edge and Christian vs. The Hardy Boyz vs. The Dudley Boyz (WWE SummerSlam 2000)

11. Edge and Christian vs. The Hardy Boyz vs. The Dudley Boyz (WWE WrestleMania X-Seven)

12. The Undertaker vs. The Rock vs. Kurt Angle (WWE Vengeance 2002)

13. Christopher Daniels vs. AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe (TNA Unbreakable 2005)

14. Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins vs. John Cena (WWE Royal Rumble 2015)

15. Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Benoit (WWE WrestleMania 20)
