Sports announcers have become a very important part of our televised game experience. By definition a sports announcer/commentator is an individual who provides real-time commentary and breakdowns before, during, and after a game. We rely on them pre-game for their expertise and game previews, we rely on them during the game to tell us all the things that we may not be able to see or understand, and we rely on them post-game for their analysis on why the game played out the way it did.

Sports announcers traditionally come in the form of analysts, play-by-play announcers, and sideline reporters, but in the years since their introduction to the live television experience, we’ve become accustomed to seeing them do their work through social media as technology and our ways of watching games have expanded over the years.

With sports and fashion being tied together as a whole now more than ever, we’ve begun to see many sports announcers making their outfits a part of their work while also showing off their personalities (I.E. the late Craig Sager). Today we are taking a look at some of the best dressed TV sports announcers in the game right now. Below is a list of those that you should definitely be taking style notes from the next time you see them on television. Let’s get started.

It’s kind of hard to accurately assess the fits of male TV sports announcers as they are all required to wear a suit, but Mike Tirico has been in the game since 1987, and we can’t say we’ve ever seen him wear a bad outfit. In fact, all of his suits have been clean, tailored, and pressed to perfection during his 35 year reign. At the moment, Tirico is still going strong as the play-by-play announcer on NBC’s Sunday Night Football.

9. Walt "Clyde" Frazier

7. Tony Romo

It certainly feels weird only talking about Tony Romo from a TV announcer perspective, but that is what he is now, and he has quickly become a fan favorite. Romo shows up to each of his assignments looking very “Mr. 007” ish with the slicked back hair to match, and we have to say that we very much appreciate it.

6. Maria Taylor

5. Doris Burke

4. Joe Buck

3. Erin Andrews

2. Malika Andrews

This is certainly not a list of all the best dressed TV sports announcers around the world, but it’s just a few of our favorites. Make sure to keep up with us for more style content and articles.
