A Closer Look at the Second Nike x Sacai LDWaffle Collection

The two monochromatic silhouettes releasing during NYFW

Sacai, a high-end fashion brand based in Japan, was founded in 1999 by Chitose Abe and has continued to set the standard for blending casual and formal attire. This year, Sacai has been having a big run with Nike collaborations, unveiling two hybrid silhouettes early this year during Paris Fashion Week. Living up to its hype, Sacai’s Nike Blazer and LDWaffle have been dubbed by many as not only the sneaker of the summer but also as the sneaker of the year.

We managed to get our hands on two of the newest pairs that release next week: the LDWaffle in “Black” and in “Summit White.” This monochromatic play on the hybrid silhouette has a very clean and polished look compared to the other colorways released, but it doesn’t take away from the remarkable execution of this near-flawless merger of the classic running shoes.

Two silhouettes—the Nike LDV and Nike Waffle Racer sneakers—are fused together for an overlaying, hybrid design. The combination features double tongues, shoelaces and swooshes with a co-branded Nike x Sacai logo on the heel tab.

We are very excited to see these shoes hit the streets when they are released on September 12. Here are some exclusive photos highlighting the details of the second collection’s monochromatic silhouettes.
