'Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora' Release Date: Story, Gameplay, and More

Season Pass owners will get access to a wealth of new downloadable content in the form of two story packs, a bonus quest, and the "Resistance Bundle." The two story expansions are titled "The Sky Breaker" and "Secrets of the Spires," while the bonus quest is called "Familiar Echoes." The Resistance Bundle comes packaged with one character gear set, one unique weapon, and one Banshee cosmetic set.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora follows the tale of a Na'vi orphan who ends up in the care of the Resources Development Administration (RDA). This results in the orphan being raised and trained as a soldier for the organization before being put in a 15-year suspended animation period. Upon waking up from that long period of hibernation, the Na'vi orphan must escape and explore a never-before-seen region of Pandora called the "Western Frontier." This extensive journey across Avatr's lush biomes is centered around the Na'vi discovering its true origins and aligning with them in an effort to take the fight to the evil RDA as the military group tries to deplete much of the natural resources embedded within the Western Frontier.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a first-person, open-world action-adventure game that can be played solo or with a friend via a two-player co-op option. Players will find themselves tackling a gameplay structure that feels and sounds similar to that of Far Cry. Making one's way through this game's massive open world will expose them to gorgeous locales filled with fellow Na'vi, alien wildlife, and a bevy of human & animal hazards that'll keep players on their toes. When the time arises to confront your foes, your Na'vi character will be able to rely on Na’vi weaponry (which includes a bow and a spear-thrower) and human firearms (we're talking about weapons such as an assault rifle and a shotgun, of course). With your Banshee by your side, you'll be able to take flight from a third-person viewpoint and even engage in aerial combat against RDA forces.
