Lollapalooza takes place July 28-31st this year in the Windy City. Lolla started as a traveling festival in 1991. However, the team decided to make Chicago the permanent festival grounds. Now, the festival is hosted annually at Grant Park, the heart of the city. Headlining this year’s show is Metallica, Dua Lipa, J Cole, Doja Cat, Lil Baby, and Don Toliver. Lollapalooza also showcases underground artists such as Evan Giia, Prentiss, Baby Jake, and many more!

The 4 day music festival in Chicago has teamed up with the Solana Foundation to include an NFT scavenger hunt in the festival experience. The scavenger hunt is set up so that festival goers can explore the “Solana Compound” for QR codes. Once the QR code is scanned with your phone camera, the festival attendee receives a digital asset that can be redeemed for backstage passes, exclusive experiences, merchandise, and more! There will be a total of four collections of NFTs, one for each day of the festival.

Ahead of the festival that begins on July 28th, Lollapalooza ticket holders can visit the Solana website to claim their first NFT and unlock their first exclusive experience - access to the Solana Compound located on the festival grounds. The compound will be located in the southwest corner of the park.

In addition to the Solana Compound, Lollapalooza also has a Solana stage, Discord stage, and a Coinbase Stage where many notable artists will be performing.

The Lollapalooza & Solana teams have created a way for festival attendees to enhance their live music experience with digital assets at no additional cost. Expect many web 3 enthusiasts to be roaming the festival grounds eagerly hunting down Solana’s QR codes to unlock the exclusive experiences and merch Solana will be giving out.
