“When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die; there is no middle ground, ” Cersei Lannister proclaims in the first season of Game of Thrones in 2011.

Eight years later, buzz for the HBO series is at an all-time high, with brands ratcheting up their GoT-themed ad campaigns and die-hard fans predicting how the six episodes of the eighth and final season will unfold. Ever since season seven wrapped up, garnering an eye-popping 16.5 million viewers for the final episode in 2017, the GoT theories have been flowing as intensely as the copious amounts of wine entering Cersei’s goblets.

ONE37pm gathered avid viewers of the show to react to three popular questions circulating on internet and IRL among fellow fans and friends.

1. Is Bran the Night King?

A popular theory is that Bran Stark, the Three-Eyed Raven, is actually the Night King. Say what? Here, eight fans react to this wild theory, explain how time travel could be involved and discuss the eerie similarities between Bran and the Night King.

2. Who will kill Cersei?

Cersei, the current queen of the Iron Throne, has a huge target on her back. If the prophecy is correct, she will likely die in season eight, but who will kill her? Will Kingslayer Jaime Lannister become the Queenslayer? Or will Tyrion Lannister or another character in the Seven Kingdoms do the deed? Or maybe she’ll die in childbirth.

3. Who will win the Iron Throne?

It’s all come down to this. Will the ultimate winner of the Iron Throne be Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, Sansa Stark, Cersei Lannister, someone else or no one after the Night King attacks Westeros with his Army of the Dead? Or will it be the Night Queen (another popular theory in which Daenerys dies and becomes the Night Queen)?
