Who is PinkPantheress? Everything You Need to Know About the Rising Star

PinkPantheress—real name Vicky Beverly Walker—is an English singer and record producer that was born on April 18th, 2001 in Bath, United Kingdom. PinkPantheress' age is 21 years old, and her affair with music began as a child with piano lessons, which later turned into her becoming the lead singer of a rock band as a teenager where she also began to write songs on her own.

While studying film at the University of London, the artist began posting songs on TikTok (many of which went viral) which caused her to start building a fanbase. During that time PinkPantheress released quite a few songs onto the platform including “Break it Off,” “Just for Me” and “Pain” from her debut mixtape To Hell With It, which was released on October 15th, 2021. All five of the mixtape's singles entered the UK Singles Chart upon their release, with “Pain” and “Just for Me” peaking in the top 40. A sign of good things to come, PinkPantheress would follow up To Hell With It with an official remix album, which was released in January 2022.

2022 proved to be a really good year for PinkPantheress as she won BBC’s Sound of 2022 poll and earned a nomination at the Brit Awards for Song of the Year at the 42nd Brit Awards for Central Cee’s song “Obsessed With You” which samples “Just for Me.” A couple months later she embarked on a European tour for To Hell With It, and performed as an opening act on Halsey's Love and Power Tour throughout the spring of 2022 on the American leg. That leads us to 2023.

In November 2022, PinkPantheress released the song “Boy’s a Liar,” which went viral on TikTok and experienced success in the UK and Australia. Shortly after, PinkPantheress linked up with another young artist experiencing viral success, Ice Spice, for the official remix “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2,” the video for which was shot in New York Success. It certainly didn’t take long for the remix to go viral, and the song has become a bona fide hit. At the time of this article, “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2” is currently sitting at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, with the potential to rise even more in the coming weeks.

If there’s one thing we know for sure about PinkPantheress, it’s that she’s always working on new music. Hopefully the success of “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2” means there’s another single on the way and eventually her debut album. In the meantime, we’re just enjoying the journey and the music!
