Oftentimes we think of clothes and technology as two separate things, but what if we told you there was that you could have the two together? Well, STATSports is changing the game by combining both sports apparel and technology—literally.

In 2019, STATSports launched their revolutionary Apex Athlete Series GPS performance tracker for the consumer market, with over 10,000 U.S. amateur soccer players already using the product, which leads us to their newest release–a one-of-a-kind Women’s GPS Sports Bra that tracks performance.

Now you may be wondering how exactly the STATSSports team made this possible. The answer to this is a little device known as The STATSports Apex pod, which measures athlete performance across 16 key metrics such as max speed, high speed running, high-intensity distance, step balance, sprints, stress load, and more. The pods are inserted directly into the bra for ease of use and tracks your metrics as you workout.

The STATSSports team has already enlisted the help of their athlete friends as ambassadors, tapping notable names such as: Megan Rapinoe (OL Reign), Alex Morgan (SD Wave), Steph Houghton (Man City), and Katie McCabe (Arsenal).

Wearable tech is the new thing, and we checked in with the STATSports crew to get their thoughts on their latest product drop and their famous ambassadors.

Quote from Sean O’Connor, STATSports Co-Founder and COO

“Megan, Alex, Katie, and Stephanie have been instrumental in the development of the new STATSports Women’s sports bra and we’re delighted to have them on our team. We want to ensure all players feel comfortable in our products, and so we felt that it was imperative to create a female-specific holding device for the technology.

The new apparel range was designed by Liverpool player, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, The new design of the bra is longer in length which will provide extra security for females during training and matchdays. There are also removal cups for personal choice, adapting to cup size to ensure the right support is provided.

All of STATSports ambassadors assisted in the development and testing of the product as well, so consumers can rest assured knowing that these products have been tested by the best of the best.”

This drop is sure to be the first of many. You can purchase the new STATSports Women’s Sports Bra or the apparel range via their official website
