Major League Pickleball has seen a huge wave of high-profile team owners enter its space. Just recently LeBron James, Kevin Love, and Draymond Green headlined a new ownership group. NFL Superstar Tom Brady and tennis legend Kim Clijsters just became the newest big names to be part of the acquisition of an MLP team, as announced today.

Tom Brady and Kim Clijsters lead the names part of the KnightHead Capital acquisition of a new Major League Pickleball team. KnightHead Capital Management LLC is an advisory firm that provides long and short term investment in event driven and distressed credit, per Bloomberg.

Brady and Clijsters have distinguished themselves as legitimate entrepreneurs, bringing their personal brands into a number of other business ventures.

The most high profile businesses that Brady's currently invested in are the digital collectible company Autograph, an apparel company that bears his Brady name, and the lifestyle and wellness company, TB12 Sports.

Clijsters is the co-owner of Innerme Organic Sports Nutrition, a Belgian natural sports nutrition brand, as well as co-founder of a Belgian facial recognition software company, Pablo Video Recording Systems. She will also help bring expertise to her new squad with a deep background and understanding of tennis.

Other notable owners include social media guru and entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk (The 5s), former professional tennis player James Blake (Lions), former NFL quarterback Drew Brees (Mad Drops), and NBA superstars LeBron James, Kevin Love, and Draymond Green recently became owners.

The next installment of MLP play will come in Columbus with group play starting on October 15th. The semi-finals and finals will take place on October 16th, with the latter at 7:30 P.M. Eastern. This will be the last team competition of the 2022 season as we gear up toward a jam packed 2023 circuit.
