And on this fifth day of Christmas, our true love sent to us five golden rings, four calling birds, three french hens, two turtle doves, a partridge and a pear tree and… Midnight Art Dept, a brand that we have become a major fan of in 2022. A Los Angeles-based Apparel brand with a love for all things vintage and classic, the special projects arm of luxury brand Midnight Studios has proved itself to be a valuable asset to the wonderful company Shane Gonzales is running with their elite campaigns, collaborations, and timeless pieces.

We definitely couldn’t do our 12 Days of Christmas series without a Midnight feature, and we figured this would be a great opportunity to look back at the incredible year they had. Here’s a quick dive into the history of Midnight Art Dept., a few reasons why we love them, and our favorite campaigns from the year.

Midnight gave us MAJOR Ziggy Stardust vibes with this David Bowie collection, and the campaign imagery was top tier. You can literally stare at the pictures for hours.

The brand also had us boarding the crazy train with their Ozzy Osbourne collab. Apparently this was only the first drop, so perhaps there will be more to come in 2023.

And if you thought the brand was done for the year, you thought wrong as they just released a new collaboration with the 1987 movie The Lost Boys. The collection includes hero pieces such as a Re-Constructed Moto Tote Bag, Vamp Trucker Jacket and the Star Wide Leg Lounge Pants all featuring the graphic language and overall themes of the film which surround loyalty, love and adolescence.
