It was a week full of couture and surprises

Ouah! Je ne peux pas croire que le mois de la mode soit terminé. Wow! Can’t believe Fashion Month is over. From NYC to Milan, and now finally Paris, it was an exciting September where we were introduced to many of the signature statement pieces and trends that we can expect to see in fashion next spring and summer.

This past week was Paris’ turn to put on their respective fashion week, and just like the others before it, it featured the veterans, emerging designers, beautiful visuals, and tons of new pieces to check out. Here are some of our favorite looks from the S/S23 Paris Fashion Week presentations.

Specializing in sharp evening wear with a bit of twist, Noir Kei Ninomiya put on a show full of dazzling dresses that will be perfect next summer for date nights, vacations, and girls night out events (that is if your bold enough to rock some of these fits).

Elie Saab

Oh look! It’s Elie Saab darling! Elie Saab’s SS23 presentation was quite a delight with loads of 1970s themed flower prints and patterns, bold colors frequently associated with spring such as bright blue and neon green, blazers, pantsuits, and plenty more.

Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood’s SS23 showcase was excellent as well with bohemian style looks, modern day takes on Old British fashion, leather, and hipster looks.

Don’t we all look forward to seeing what Hermes has to offer for the following season? Classic white, black, and brown tones seemed to be the recurring theme amongst the Hermès SS23 show, meaning that we can expect a simple yet standout season from the legendary brand next spring and summer.

Christian Louboutin

Christian Louboutin is another legendary designer that we always look forward to seeing, and the Louboutin SS23 show was fun and flirty, which is the perfect attitude to have in the warmer months.

When you attend an Issey Miyake show, expect to get a fashion presentation delivered in the form of a performance. Can we take a moment to show some appreciation for the dresses and skirts?

For the most part, Belgian fashion designer Ann Demeulemeester only does one fashion show a year, and that’s during Paris Fashion Week. Black and white were the major themes displayed in the form of leather, loose fits, tunics, and dresses. As usual, the show didn’t disappoint.

Heliot Emil’s pieces are an awesome mix of combat style clothing, couture, and street, which is exactly what we saw during their SS23 presentation. The Danish brand is still relatively new to Paris Fashion Week, having made their debut last year. They are off to a good start.

Low and behold one of the greatest moments in fashion history—the spray painted dress presented by Coperni and "worn" by Bella Hadid.

Now this isn’t the end of fashion events for the remainder of 2022. There’s still some smaller events happening such as Los Angeles Fashion Week which starts October 6th. There might even be a few happening in local areas depending on where you live. In the meantime, this was a great September, and we can’t wait to be back at it in February.
