We’re celebrating two things today. The birthday of WNBA great Skylar Diggins-Smith, and the release of her first capsule with PUMA Hoops. Entitled “Desert Sky,” this collection is the natural next step for the six-time WNBA All-Star and Phoenix Mercury Guard who has been signed to the brand as an ambassador since 2017.
PUMA Hoops and Skylar Diggins-Smith Launch Desert Sky Collection
We're going to the Wild Wild West
The capsule collection features bold graphics and a color palette inspired by the sunrises and sunsets of Phoenix, Arizona, while the footwear and apparel pieces emanate the bold energy for which she’s known.
Representing an intimate picture of Skylar’s balance in life, The “Desert Sky” collection shares pieces that bring an easy style to hardcore moments on the court and comfort in soft, unwinding moments at home. The pieces fuse basketball culture with fashion, making a strong style statement for duality and versatility.
Now check it. Here’s what we’ve got in the collection.
The Desert Sky Jersey Dress is a quintessential basketball style reinvented that features Skylar’s number “4” on the back. The Jersey Dress plays on its rich court roots with ‘90s-inspired tear-away snap sides.
Next up is the You Do You Sky Tee, a vintage-inspired tee that the motto Skylar and her mom have gestured to each other before every game.
And finally, we have the TRC Blaze Court Desert Sky Sneaker, which draws inspiration from Skylar’s career and home in Arizona. The TRC Blaze Court is a fully playable shoe that features PUMA Hoops tech sure to heat up the hardwood.
The collection is sick, and it’s available starting today, at PUMA.com and retailing for $45-$125.
Happiest of birthdays Skylar! We hope it’s the best one yet!
