Are you wondering what the best LEGO sets releasing in March of 2023 are? I have you covered!

As we turn a new month, LEGO has some exciting releases lined up, so let’s unpack the best of them and see which sets you should keep an eye out for this month!

1. Lord of the Rings:

Earlier this year, LEGO teased us with three Lord of the Rings BrickHeadz sets, but thankfully that wasn’t the end of their Middle Earth plans for the year. On March 8th, LEGO is releasing their 6,167 piece, $500 Rivendell model, complete with 15 exclusive minifigures and tons of details for eagle-eyed Tolkien fans to build and explore.

(The set will be available a few days early on March 5th for LEGO VIPs online and at LEGO stores.)

2. Star Wars:

LEGO is launching three brand new helmets to add to your collection, including Captain Rex, Commander Cody, and Princess Leia’s Boushh helmet. The first two are celebrating the 20th anniversary of The Clone Wars, while the Leia helmet celebrates the 40th anniversary of Return of the Jedi. All three helmets will retail for $69.99.

3. Marvel:

It’s been a strong year for LEGO Marvel already, but every theme is bound to have a few skippable sets. As a part of the LEGO 4+ line (aimed at younger builders,) we’re getting three new sets based off of the children’s cartoon Spidey and His Amazing Friends. These are sets 10789 Spider-Man’s Car and Doc Ock ($9.99,) 10790 Team Spidey at Green Goblin’s Lighthouse ($34.99,) and 10791 Team Spidey’s Mobile Headquarters ($49.99)

4. Harry Potter:

Hot off the heels of Hogwarts Legacy’s success, we’ve got a whole wave of new LEGO Harry Potter sets. You can build your favorite house banner for Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, or Gryffindor for $34.99 each, or you can expand your Wizarding World with new sets like 76412 Hogwarts: Room of Requirement ($49.99) and 76420 Triwizard Tournament: The Black Lake ($44.99.)

5. Technic:

For some more complicated building techniques, there are some great Technic offerings this go around. Nearly all of them are wheeled vehicles, with the exception of 42152 Firefighter Aircraft. The other three are the NASCAR Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 ($49.99,) the super sleet 42154 2022 Ford GT ($119.99) and the charged-up Batcycle set 42155 from the Batman ($49.99.)

6. Speed Champions:

Perhaps LEGO’s single most underrated theme, we’re getting four new Speed Champions super cars in this wave of releases. There are three cars at $24.99 each: 76914 Ferrari 812 Competizione, 76815 Pagani Utopia, and 76916 Porsche 963. For more supercharged fun, there’s also a McLaren Solus GT & F1 LM two-pack releasing for $44.99 to round out the wave.

7. LEGO BrickHeadz:

To celebrate Disney’s 100 Years of Magic, LEGO is releasing three new BrickHeadz sets calling back to some Disney favorites. 40620 offers the villainous Cruella and Malegifent, while 40621 gives you Moana and Merida teamed up. The best of the wave is hands-down 40619 EVE and WALL-E, which will surely be a big seller.

8. BTS:

As a part of their ever-expanding LEGO Ideas theme, we’re getting a BTS set based off of the band’s “Dynamite” musicc video. This is a set designed by LEGO fans and voted on by the community, and it’s a near certainty that the BTS Army will rally to support this set from day one. It’ll retail for $99.99 and includes every member of the band as a part of its 749 piece count.

Which of these on my list of the best LEGO sets releasing in March are you most excited about? There are tons of other sets coming out in March, but these are the ones that are sure to be the biggest hits. Let me know what sets you plan on picking up, and happy building!
