When the topic of the most powerful Dragon Ball Z character inevitably springs up among a circle of heated fans at an anime convention, Broly's name is sure to come up. The folks advocating for him aren't speaking about the one that terrorized Goku and his squad in three non-canon DBZ films - they're alluding to the one that gave Goku, Vegeta, and Frieza THAT WORK in the Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie. At his angriest, Broly managed to overpower all three of them in their strongest forms at the time. Watching Broly go into overdrive and fend off the Super Saiyan Blue versions of Goku & Vegeta plus Golden Frieza was astonishing. Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta ultimately brought Broly's rampage to an end, though.

We already spoke about Broly being unable to put a dent in the combined form of Goku and Vegeta known as Gogeta once they used the "Fusion Dance" technique to transform. The Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta transformation really put Broly in a blender and we're confident that past DBZ villains wouldn't put a dent in him either. Now when we envision a battle between this version of Gogeta and a fully powered Moro, we automatically select Moro as the victor since his absorbing of Vegeta's powers allowed him to instantly learn "Forced Spirit Fisson." With this ability in his arsenal, Moro can undo Fusions and easily force Goku & Vegeta's bodies to come apart.

During the Universe Survival Saga, Jiren struck fear into the rest of the assorted universes' chosen warriors. That's because he didn't even need to fight at full strength in order to beat most of the competition. Jiren's immense power even placed him higher on the strength totem pole than his very own universe's "God of Destruction." Once Jiren got pitted against Ultra Instinct Sign Goku, Jiren shocked everyone by tapping into the full extent of his powers to initially stay even with his most powerful rival for a good while. But eventually, it became evident that Perfected Ultra Instinct Goku's powers proved to be too much for Jiren. Jiren is an overpowered badass, no doubt. But the current versions of Goku and maybe even Vegeta would make life really difficult for "Universe 11's" top champion.

At full power, Moro earns the distinction of being one of the most fearsome fighters in the universe. His main source of power is derived from the magical ability to accumulate all life on a planet into an energy ball and proceed to absorb it in order to make himself that much more formidable. Moro's power reaches new frightening levels after absorbing the power of a dominant alien android, which is a move that would make Cell proud. At his max level, Moro's capable of standing toe to toe with the Perfected Ultra Instinct Goku formation. The one thing that holds Moro back from being a step higher than that version of Goku is Moro's untrained body being unable to withhold all of the power he's accumulated by the time we reach the closing moments of the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga.

DBZ fans have gotten so used to seeing Vegeta have fleeting moments of superiority and ultimately failing to emerge as the one to vanquish a big bad of an ongoing saga. But as we all witnessed during the anime run of DBS, Vegeta's power levels gradually increased thanks to him being able to transform into a Super Saiyan God and also utilize his Super Saiyan Blue form. We even got to a point where Vegeta learned Forced Spirit Fission and used it to almost defeat Moro by depleting tons of energy from him! Now that Vegeta has risen to his max power level of "Ultra Ego," we're sure he could wash all of the previous entries on this list with ease.

Since the very beginning of Dragon Ball, Goku has cemented himself as one of the most powerful protagonists in all of anime history. It's impressive to watch him constantly achieve new levels of power through the many formations attached to his mastery of becoming a Super Saiyan and unlocking Ultra Instinct. Speaking of Ultra Instinct, Goku has been able to use the full extent of True Ultra Instinct to briefly stay on par with one of DBS' most fearsome antagonists, Gas. Goku's continued evolution regarding his power levels is one of the main reasons fans continue to follow the epic battles encased within the manga pages of DBS.

If you've read the entirety of the Granolah the Survivor Saga, you already know how much of a living, breathing terror Granolah ends up being. With a wish granted to him thanks to the power of the "Dragon Balls," he gains the enviable title of strongest warrior of "Universe 7." After that wish has been fulfilled, Granolah emerges as the victor during his ensuing clashes against Super Saiyan Blue Plus Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego Vegeta. Anyone who has the ability to force Goku and Vegeta's max power levels into submission has to get their just due on anyone's list of anyone under consideration of the most powerful Dragon Ball Z character.

Gas pulled the same move that Granolah did in order to gain access to immeasurable levels of power - thanks to a character named Elec, he relied upon the Dragon Balls to fulfill his wish of becoming the strongest in the universe. I figured I'd try giving birth to a new superhero by putting these two in the spotlight through their intense battles with the Gamma androids." Beast Gohan taking on Perfected Ultra Instinct Goku and Ultra Ego Vegeta would most likely result in the upstanding Human/Saiyan hybrid getting the W!

Frieza has earned plenty of notoriety and even fan adoration due to how petty, relentless, and unrelenting he is whenever he has Goku and the rest of the Saiyans in his sights. When he unlocked the ability to morph into Golden Frieza, he shocked the anime as he managed to keep up with both Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta. With the ability to transform into Black Frieza, he emerged during the closing moments of the Granolah the Survivor Saga to simultaneously wipe out Ultra Instinct Goku and Ultra Ego Vegeta with a single punch. Soon after, he deleted Gas from existence with ease. With his new power state, Frieza is scary as hell all over again!

The domineering God of Destruction of Universe 7 is none other than Beerus. DBZ fans first laid eyes on him during the Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods film and witnessed him embarrass the Z-Fighters with relative ease. Even when Goku finally tapped into the power of a "Super Saiyan God," one of Earth's mightiest protectors could only damage Beerus enough to have their battle reach a draw. Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta even confronted Beerus and also fell in defeat. What's even crazier about those Beerus victories is the fact that he wasn't even fighting at full power! Perfected Ultra Instinct Goku and Ultra Ego Vegeta have unlocked the power to be on par with the gods. Even still, we still think a fully-powered Beerus would still find a way to overcome all of the previous character inclusions on this list.

Anyone who's referred to as the most powerful being in Universe 7 must strike fear into the hearts of anyone who's dumb enough to test them. It's clear to DBZ and DBS fans that Whis deserves that title since Beerus even looks up to the whimsical "Guide Angel Attendant" as his master. Anyone who's capable of keeping Beerus in check is not to be messed with. Goku and Vegeta have even sat under the learning tree of Whis to unlock the ability to use their Super Saiyan Blue forms. Even when Goku relied on that transformation and Ultra Instinct, Whis easily evaded his attacks and showed that he was still a level above one of Earth's strongest defenders. We're pretty confident that Ultra Ego Vegeta wouldn't put a single dent into Whis as well.

Across the massive multiverse that makes up DBS, the second most powerful being that exists among the 12 universes is this individual right here. As the father of all the 12 Angels who serve their respective Gods of Destruction, The Grand Minister is set up to be someone who is vastly more dominant in comparison to the power levels of everyone placed earlier on this list. While we've never actually witnessed The Grand Minister throw hands and feet with anyone yet, we have a feeling that he'd put Ultra Instinct Goku, Ultra Ego Vegeta, Ultra Beast Gohan, all his Angel offspring, and all the Gods of Destruction down without breaking much of a sweat. When you add in the element of immortality, The Grand Minister is even more lethal when you compare him to the power levels of other DBZ and DBS characters.

When Goku introduced himself to this little tyke for the very first time, everyone's hearts stopped due to Goku sticking out his hand to greet Zeno instead of bowing to the supreme "Omni-King." That reaction is well warranted since it's been made clear that Zeno is the supreme ruler of the entirety of the Multiverse and its most powerful being. The Angels and Gods of Destruction treat Zeno with the utmost respect and have a bit of fear in their hearts due to the Omni-King's ability to wipe out their universes at the drop of a dime. A battle against Zeno would probably never ensue cause whoever chooses to make that mistake would never even get past The Grand Minister. And due to the dishonorable action of that overconfident (and stupid!) warrior, Zeno would probably wipe them out right alongside their universe for that blatant act of disrespect!
