Haven't we waited long enough to see Misty Quigley aggressively chop off another man's leg again?

2021's sleeper hit, Yellowjackets, will be making its way back to television sometime in early 2023 as production is finally underway as of late August 2022. While the cast has been stacked from the get-go, the addition of three new members of the squad just might make our Yellowjackets team a little more complete.

Yellowjackets Season 1 Spoilers Ahead.

Simone Kessell Joins the Hive

Based on the first season's finale, it was obvious that Lottie Matthews would be needing an adult-version counterpart for Season 2 as it was revealed that she's the mastermind behind the entire cult-like operation in the wilderness. After quite a long wait, it was finally announced that Simone Kessell will be portraying the older version of Lottie, who's stepping up as part of the main cast as opposed to just a side character.

Lauren Ambrose Will Be Portraying Van Palmer

I actually screamed when I found out this news because VAN. IS. ALIVE!

Not only did she survive a wolf practically ripping her entire face off, but she also lived through being almost burned to death. Basically, the cards were stacked against Van, but she had other plans. While we know that she eventually joins up with Lottie at the end of the first season, I've still got a soft spot for her, which makes me even more joyous that she managed to live all the way through to the present day.

There might not be any "sneaky little Hobbitses" in Yellowjackets, but there sure is going to be Elijah Wood. He'll be joining the present-day gang as Walter, who appears to be taking on a citizen detective role, much like Misty Quigley (Christina Ricci).
