Tyrese Maxey is somebody who has always has a big smile on his face. And honestly, it’s easy to see why as life is indeed good. The 22-year-old nicknamed “Mad Maxey” has a new ambassador deal with STARRY, the new official soft drink of the NBA, the WNBA, and NBA G League in North America, the commercial for which he shot with Keke Palmer. He’s having a stellar season with whispers that he is the front-runner for the sixth man of the year. Maxey also has a brand new partnership with New Balance, to which there will be plenty more to come style-wise in the future. We recently caught up with Maxey over the All-Star Break to learn more about life on and off the court, and of course STARRY.

It’s been great working with STARRY so far! I really feel like this is the best soda that I’ve ever tasted. I’m really excited to be at this activation, and I can’t wait to check it out and meet the fans!

Launched in January 2023, STARRY Hits Different – it’s the new crisp, clear lemon-lime flavored soda from PepsiCo, making its debut in regular and zero sugar just in time for NBA All-Star 2023, STARRY delivers the crisp, refreshing taste fans are looking for in a lemon-lime flavored soda. While sipping the drink, we of course had to talk style. I asked Maxey what his daily style was like, which also led to a discussion about New Balance.

Maxey’s All-Star Saturday Night outfit is what he deemed the best when I asked him the best outfit he packed for the weekend, and he ended with a message to the youngsters looking up to him.

You can keep up with Maxey (and all of his latest basketball and style updates) on Instagram.
