LOEWE SS24, Converse x Awake and More Drops to Watch This Week

LOEWE is back with their Women's SS24 Runway Collection, continues its collaboration with artist Lynda Benglis, presenting a group of monumental bronze sculptures as part of the show setting, and pieces of jewelry developed in collaboration. Six pieces were presented as part of the runway presentation, which was about reducing fashion to silhouettes, focusing on the outlines, textural knits, and great leather pieces. Marrying a skate-inspired heritage with a New York State of Mind, Converse and Awake NY are introducing their first collaborative collection, which includes three takes on the One Star Pro, and is accompanied by a two-piece, functional apparel assortment that includes a cotton jersey rugby shirt featuring satin-stitch embroidery branding at the center chest and a water-based large back print, along with a two-toned fleece hoodie with a blue contrast hood. 

The Converse x Awake NY collection will be available at Awake on October 6, followed by Converse.com on October 12.

The Saucony x Claima 3D Grid Hurricane is a reimagined version of an archival shoe created by the brand’s first Black designer, John Acevedo. In paying tribute to roots, Saucony and Claima, attempt to pay forward inspirations for aspiring creatives and young professionals. The purple, cream and gold silhouette, represent the Claima colors but further cement the color purple as a symbol for equity and community. The sneakers are available starting Sept. 30th and retail for $150.

Baby Phat has just dropped their new collection just in time for the fall season. Featuring slouchy parachute pants, micro cargo skirts, and corsets, Baby Phat will re-up on fabulosity by releasing the ‘99 Classics collection: upcoming drops that will release in the coming weeks and are a fresh interpretation of our “best sellers”: luxe velour tracksuits with debossed logo detail, stretch baby tees, and the return of BP Denim with back pockets emblazoned with the iconic cat logo.

Ahead of Kansas City’s road game this past Sunday, adidas and Patrick Mahomes launched the Mahomes 1 Impact FLX “Away,” paying tribute to the fans and uniforms that travel with Kansas City on the road. The newest “Away” colorway, designed in close collaboration with Patrick, is a sleek white, with bold accents of red nodding to Kansas City. The Mahomes 1.0 Impact FLX “Away” will be available for purchase starting October 3 for $140 on adidas.com/us/patrick_mahomes and through the adidas app. 

Harley-Davidson has a new collection from H-D Collections Bar & shield. Included in the collection is The Blurred Eagle symbol, first created in 1947 by designer Paul Smith as gas tank graphics, then becoming a cherished symbol within the HD community. Also included are a puffer jacket and vest amongst others. One of These Days, the menswear label from acclaimed multidisciplinary artist Matt McCormick has just released its FW23 collection entitled Crossroads of the Big Sky, which is the brand's biggest capsule to date. The Crossroads of the Big Sky collection is made up of 55 pieces, all of which were produced in limited numbers and includes mohair knit sweaters, a reversible trench coat with hand-applied art on the interior, varsity jackets emblazoned with Western iconography, and an assortment of new logo tees and sweats that feature imagery pulled from, and inspired by, McCormick’s visual art.

With Halloween almost upon us, New Balance and this year’s US Open champion Coco Gauff will be unveiling her first colorway since her historic win for her signature model, the Coco CG1 ‘Spooky Season,’ and will be worn during the WTA Finals. The ‘Spooky Season’ colorway of CG1 was inspired by Coco’s favorite holiday, Halloween, incorporating a black on dark purple color scheme for a spooky feel and essence, and will be released on October 6th.

Levi's and Kenzo are launching a men’s and women’s capsule collection made of 20 styles using Kaihara, premium Japanese denim. The collection builds on Nigo’s vision for the brand since taking helm as Artistic director, fusing cultural heritages and creating a real-to-wear wardrobe that melds historical Japanese dressmaking with classic American workwear.

As a longtime admirer of the brand, Nigo’s collaboration with the brand took shape naturally, referencing his personal vintage Levi’s archive when creating KENZO’s pieces.

The store will offer customers the opportunity to shop future season collections, in person and exclusively, in advance of their online debut. For example, the Paper Planes Holiday 2023 Collection will be available exclusively at the Paper Planes retail store in October 2023 prior to its online launch in November 2023.
