Moolah Kicks is making major moves. Founded by 24-year-old New York City entrepreneur Natalie White in 2020, the brand is the first and only performance basketball brand built by and for female ballers, changing the footwear industry as we know it. Never before have we seen a footwear company created by a woman that’s solely for women, and it was certainly much needed. The newest addition to the Moolah Kicks lineup is the Neovolt Pro model, which launches today exclusively at DICK’S Sporting Goods locations nationwide and on dicksportinggoods.com.

Similar to previous models, the Neovolt Pro is setting a new standard by focusing on early injury prevention for young girls to support career longevity, and is continuing to add to their legacy by signing WNBA Indiana Fever point guard and former NCAA National Champion Destanni Henderson and University of Connecticut guard Caroline Ducharme as brand ambassadors.

We spoke with Natalie about all things Moolah Kicks.

ONE37pm: Nice to meet you Natalie! For all of our readers that are unfamiliar with Moolah Kicks, could you give us a background of the brand?

Natalie: I grew up playing basketball in NYC, and I played in every sneaker that you can imagine. I’m 5”4, so I would always have to go straight to the children's section. Honestly with a lot of women who played, they would have to go straight to the men’s and kids section. There was a lack of women’s sneakers, and women’s feet are different from men. Having to play in men’s sneakers puts us more at risk for injuries because of that. So I wanted to create a sneaker focused specifically on women’s basketball.

ONE37pm: You started Moolah Kick right in the midst of the pandemic. How was it working through that?

Natalie: Yes it was right in the pandemic. I would say some things were challenging, and some were easier. The supply chain was definitely something that was challenging, but operationally it didn’t feel all that different because I was working at home remotely.

ONE37pm: How about your partnership with Dick’s? How did that come to be?

Natalie: Believe it or not, I reached out to Dick’s with a cold email to the CEO. I was able to have a meeting with the team and the rest is history. Dick’s has always had a serious commitment to women’s sports and providing quality products, and they have just been amazing. There were 140 stores with the original model, and now here we are in the fall of 2022 with a new release!

ONE37pm: You have two new ambassadors, WNBA star Destanni Henderson and  UConn’s Caroline Ducharme. How has it been working with them?

Natalie: It’s honestly been a perfect fit with both Destanni and Caroline. It’s kind of funny because before Moolah Kicks, Destani didn’t even know her size in women’s! They have been great as ambassadors.
