SOUTH2 WEST8 and Reebok Link on Japanese Fly-Fishing Inspired Kicks

Reebok is already getting a good start to the month of November. Today, the iconic brand is announcing their very first collaborative project with Japanese clothing brand SOUTH2 WEST8. For twenty years, SOUTH2 WEST8 has been the go-to Sapporo spot for all things fishing and nature, combining technical function and fashion, and now they are going global.

The brand, which is known for their use of outdoor apparel and gear such as waders and rods that focus on the traditional Japanese method of fly-fishing, “Tenkara,” is teaming up with Reebok to drop the SOUTH2 WEST8 x Reebok Zig Kinetica II Edge, which will be available November 5 exclusively from SOUTH2 WEST8 and in Japan before its wider global release on November 18 from Reebok and select retailers.

The Sapporo-based clothing store has applied its unique point of view to Reebok’s Zig Kinetica II Edge, a technical, outdoor-inspired modern interpretation of the brand’s iconic Zig sport style shoe. Here’s some of the details that you can expect to find: a textile camouflage upper embellished by lush-green suede overlays, a spiky rubber toe cap, green laces, and a green heel loop, which completes the military-inspired look.

The SOUTH2 WEST8 x Reebok Zig Kinetica II Edge also features a black and grey midsole at the bottom, which represents responsive Floatride Fuel cushioning above an anti-slip 30% pre-consumer recycled Vibram Ecostep lugged outsole.
