Supreme x Doc Martens, Carhartt WIP x Awake NY and More Drops to Watch This Week

Carhartt WIP and Awake NY have announced a new collaboration for SS23, following the long-standing friendship between the two brands and their respective communities. Available from Thursday, April 6, Carhartt WIP x Awake NY is an 8-piece capsule collection pairing Carhartt WIP signatures with Awake NY’s trademark graphics and bold embroidery. Styles in Carhartt WIP’s Dearborn Canvas, including the OG Active Jacket and Double Knee Pant, have been reworked with co-branded embroidery and Awake NY’s painterly floral motifs. 

These details are carried through the collection, present on the Hooded Sweatshirt and Teddy Jacket, a varsity-inspired style with faux-leather sleeves and graphic patches. Carhartt WIP and Awake NY tapped photographer Mario Sorrenti and creative director Alastair McKimm for the accompanying campaign, which draws on Awake NY’s community, featuring designer Raul Lopez, Jon Gray of Ghetto Gastro, stylist Fatima B, skateboarder Nevaskimp, and legendary hip-hop artist Rakim.

For SS23 Drop 2, Adsum looked towards lake culture as a creative touch point. For their SS23 lookbook, Adsum created a backdrop  that brought in over 600 pounds of river rocks to their Brooklyn studio. Also notable, and new to the SS23 shirting range, are two new styles: the Seam Shirt and Flat Hem Workshirt. Drop 2 also brings brand new pant and short styles constructed from summer appropriate twills and canvases. The Patch Pocket Pant and Short take design cues from the brand's SS18 Utility Pant. All seams are flat felled and chain stitched for strength.

London-based menswear brand, Percival, has just released the first drop from its PerciLab Collection - a new range of rare, reimagined and reworked pieces. For PerciLab 01, Percival has used vintage Levi’s and Wrangler denim jackets to create a limited edition version of its signature Overshirt.

Hambino Athletics  is a unisex, nostalgic lifestyle RTW brand created by The Sandlot actor, Patrick Renna that captures the good-natured spirit associated with baseball and inspires the continued love of the game. The brand just recently launched is past November and within a couple of months it had a nearly sold out of its core styles (with hundreds on the waitlist) and is set to launch its second, more inclusive collection next week.

Lucas Ossendrijver’s Spring 2023 Theory Project capsule continues to explore New York’s dynamic energy. Building on ideas and themes from his debut Fall 2022 collection, the Spring 2023 men’s and women’s collections see the city’s spirit and movement materialize in fluid fabrics, utilitarian details, and joyful custom prints imbued with motion. Meet the Allston, the newest sneaker debut from iconic footwear brand PF. Flyers. A new platform sneaker built for versatility, movement, and style. PF.
