Tomorrow marks the start of November, which means that we’re officially in the month of the highly anticipated FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. With the festivities set to kick off on November 20th, you can expect a lot of merch action over these next several weeks, including this exciting one on behalf of the U.S. Soccer, who’s teaming up with designers Hidden NY, Awake NY, KidSuper, Jason Scott and VOYCENOW to create exclusive lifestyle capsule collections for the U.S. Men’s National Team.

These five brands, who are all known for celebrating culture and diversity through fashion and lifestyle, are offering limited edition merchandise that includes t-shirts, sweatshirts, socks and hats. Make no mistake, this is a first-of-its-kind collection with a unique rollout.

The second collection, dropping tomorrow, is from another NYC-based brand, Awake NY. Here's what Angelo Baque, founder and Creative Director of the label, had to say:

“Soccer was intertwined with my upbringing. Growing up, I would spend weekends barbecuing and watching my uncles play at Flushing Meadow Park. The sport is a huge part of Ecuadorian culture, and as an Ecuadorian-American, this project is particularly meaningful for me since both teams are in the World Cup this year. I used “Solo Pa’lante” as a signifier of my upbringing and the inclusive spirit of the USMNT.”

Jason Scott - Nov. 2nd

As a brand built around comfort, Jason Scott was able to put a material and texture-heavy spin on his collection, featuring an off white colorway punctuated with gold patches. Here's what the designer had to say on the project:

“Ever since I was 5 years old, soccer has been a part of my life. It’s transformed from a sport I used to play as a kid to a major source of inspiration for our brand. Being able to collaborate and craft a special collection with the USMNT is more than I can even put into words. It was important to me when I was working on the collection and combining these two passions that the collection consisted of elevated styles with unique designs — two things we focus on to make our brand stand above the rest.”

KidSuper - Nov. 3rd

In classic KidSuper fashion, his collection is colorful and eccentric, bringing his kaleidoscopic eye for color to the pitch. His take on the project is just as cheeky as the collection itself:

“This is the closest I’ll come to playing for the U.S. Men’s National Team. This is a big deal for everyone involved. PUT ME IN COACH!”

VoyceNow - Nov. 4th

The final leg of the series of capsule collections is a little different from the previous four. Rather than a collaboration with a traditional designer, the final installment is a partnership with VoyceNow, a nonprofit/clothing brand that donates all of its profits to the Minority Education Fund.

Are you not excited? As we mentioned earlier, the drops start today with Hidden NY’s capsule collection, and release on a daily basis throughout the rest of the week. Make sure to bookmark this article so you can catch each collection!
