August 26th's NF3 Recap: Adam Bomb Squad, Tom Sachs RF and Art Blocks

This week continues to be incredibly busy in the world of NFTs and we finally got some follow-ups on some big projects in the past few days. If you're just tuning in, check out the last edition of NF3. Whether you're a veteran NFT investor or just getting into the game, here are a few things to keep your eyes on.

This article does not constitute formal financial advice. Always do your own research before investing.

1. The Hundreds' Adam Bomb Squad Release Date

I'm really excited about this one. The team behind the streetwear brand, The Hundreds, has been teasing an NFT project for quite some time. Today, the brand's co-founder Bobby Hundreds finally announced that the project will be dropping tomorrow "at some point in the later morning, PST." Would have loved a more specific timeline, but hey, that's the world of NFTs.

Whether or not you're trying to get in, this is a great project to watch, as the overlap between streetwear and NFTs will continue to be a growing trend.

2. Tom Sachs Rocket Factory Announces Launch Details

This has been a big week for Tom Sachs' Rocket Factory project. Budweiser purchased a token from the collection earlier this week, and the details surrounding the actual rocket launch were finally announced yesterday.

In a Medium post, the team behind Rocket Factory finally revealed the location and exact time of the launch, which will be taking place this Saturday on Governor's Island in NYC. Attendance is open for anyone, but RSVP if you can. There will also be a livestream of the event; they'll post the link on Twitter and Discord on the day of.

If you're in the city and want to launch some rockets, pencil it into your schedule.

3. Art Blocks Curated Drop is Tomorrow

One of the coolest and most beloved projects in NFTs is called Art Blocks. Every week, they launch a curated drop on Fridays, in addition to some other supplemental drops throughout the weeks.

Tomorrow at 12pm ET, they'll be doing a curated drop with Richard Lord's project, Geometry Runners. The drop will operate as a dutch auction, beginning at 5 ETH, and then the price will drop every 5 minutes. For context, the last Art Blocks drop sold out entirely for 5 ETH, before the first price drop had time to occur.

It's a good idea to subscribe to their newsletter to stay most up to date on their many drops.

Other cool stuff:

A Bored Ape sold for a record-breaking 500 ETH today. That's about $1.5 million.

An EtherRock sold for 555 ETH today as well. Records are being smashed every single day.

The NFTs from the game Plasma Bears started getting absolutely red hot on OpenSea last night. Plasma Bears was created by Blockade Games, the same brand responsible for Neon District and Metaboss.

All of the games in the Blockade family have begun to pick up steam, and their corresponding NFTs are responding commensurately. Read and listen to the interview we did with Blockade's CEO Marguerite deCourcelle, aka Coin Artist, back in March. How time flies.
