Vayner3

Despite the current bear market in the Web3 space, hundreds of brands and thousands of individuals are still hard at work building something meaningful. To showcase these individuals, VaynerX and Vayner3 (formerly VaynerNFT) thought it would be beneficial to host a Web3 Demo Day.

Web3 Demo Day consisted of more than 45 presenters and over 200 brand guests across AR, metaverse, creative, NFT marketplaces, cryptocurrency, financial, and an array of other platforms in the Web3 space. All of this was wrapped into 500 minutes of Web3 education, reaching a total of over 3000 unique viewers throughout the day.

Chairman of VaynerX, Gary Vaynerchuk, kicked off Web3 Demo day. He shared his excitement for bringing the brightest and most advanced partners in the ecosystem to educate, share case studies, and connect.

We are so aware, at the macro, that Web3 is well on its way to becoming an incredibly important technology infrastructure for all of your businesses, but, we’re also aware...the internet was complicated in 1995, and the blockchain, the consumer blockchain, is complicated in 2022. And so, we take education extremely seriously here and we wanted to bring as much value as we could.

- Gary Vaynerchuk

After, Vayner3’s Chief of Staff, Katrina Gamueda-Smith, and Director of Web3, Allena Hena led the wonderful lineup of brand partners through an exciting day of education and innovation.

Each presenter had approximately 10 minutes to talk about their brand and what it is they do in the space. There were a number of familiar brands from the Web3 space, as well as new and exciting brands that many of you may not have heard of.

Nonetheless, the live stream of comments continuously rolling in was nothing but positive. Viewers were in awe at the amount of innovation and potential being showcased live on-screen in front of them.

It’s impossible to say which brand guest was the best because they are all building something extraordinary and impactful in one way or another. However, there were brands from each of the categories that stood out to me personally which I believe some of you may find intriguing as well. Below are all the categories that were presented along with some of my favorite brands from each category.

Remember, these are only a select few of the many extraordinary brands that presented on Web3 Demo Day. If you have the opportunity to watch the entire demo, I highly recommend you do.

Creative

The creative category of Web3 Demo Day focused on the brands that are aiming to paint a picture in the Web3 space. From metaverse wearables to NFT displays, the creative category is exciting, to say the least.

Manifold

Manifold is a minting platform that enables Web3 creators to mint their own NFT while maintaining creative ownership, preserving on-chain provenance, and interoperating with all popular NFT marketplaces.

Most notably is how easy Manifold makes it to mint your own NFT. During the presentation, Richerd Chan, Co-Founder of Manifold, minted an NFT in about 5 minutes. This is a true eye-opener for any creator who wants to get involved in the NFT space and is proof that minting an NFT doesn’t have to be hard.

Tafi/Daz

Tafi/Daz instantly sparked my interest when Preston Woo, CFO & Head of Strategy of Tafi, appeared on screen with his reptile AR face on.

Tafi and Daz have been around for about 20 years. It goes without saying that this brand is an OG in the space, having been a part of Web 1.0, Web 2.0, and now Web3. They have partnered with notable brands like Coca-Cola, DC Comics, and Champion to name a few. They also have avatars across the different metaverses including Decentraland, Roblox, VRChat, and more.

Additionally, Tafi provides all the Samsung Galaxy phones in the world with their avatars and avatar content. For those looking to offer their own avatar, Tafi offers an avatar SDK that enables game & app developers to build, manage, and monetize an integrated avatar creation experience for their end-users.

Sturdy

Sturdy Exchange launched as one of the first NFT exchanges on the Flow blockchain. Initially, Sturdy was focused only on artists and music drops. However, more recently Sturdy felt there was an opportunity to expand into the brand world.

Sturdy is a platform that provides a curated NFT experience for collectors. They work directly with creators to bring exclusive collections to their audience through an easy-to-navigate platform that makes it accessible for everyone to collect NFTs.

Ultimately, Sturdy takes care of building out the NFT side of things so that you can focus on growing your brand. As more brands look to join the NFT space, I believe companies like Sturdy will be a necessity to help onboard others.

Platforms

Platforms like YouTube and Twitter have been the building blocks of Web 2.0 since the mid-2000s, and we should expect to see nothing less in this new era of Web3. This section of the Demo portrayed many of these exciting platforms that are here today, and will likely continue to thrive for years to come.

Bitski

Bitski originally launched in 2018 as the Gmail of Web3 wallets, which allows users to create a wallet without the need to understand how private keys work or anything else about blockchain technology.

Since then, Bitski has launched Bitski Storefronts and Marketplace, along with other Web3 services. Btiski Storefronts allows users to launch both branded and unbranded storefronts with the ability to sell NFTs and accept both crypto and fiat payments.

At the end of the day, Bitski has the easiest wallet for mainstream consumers. It's simple to sign-up, easy to manage, and interoperable.

Metaverse

Though the metaverse might seem like something you’d only see in a sci-fi movie, there are numerous brands currently building real and functional versions of these virtual spaces as we speak. The metaverse brands presented in this Web3 demo are some of the most innovative metaverse companies that exist today.

Last Slice

Last Slice Collective is a metaverse development studio & social club that covers all things NFT and Web3. From private scene building to custom brand solutions, Last Slice delivers the best Decentraland experiences.

Moreover, the social club is made up of 195 members with varying skill sets that constantly learn, build, and share together. Of course, it wouldn’t be a true metaverse club if there weren’t NFTs involved in some way.

Their NFT experts analyze the latest projects, discuss the value of NFTs, and invest in various NFTs themselves.

Financial

The financial sector of Web3 is arguably one of the most important. Without various financial implementations, it would be difficult for anyone to transact within the Web3 space. This Web3 Demo showcased some of the biggest players in the game including Ledger, MoonPay, CrossMint, and Reddit to name a few.

BitPay

Bitpay is the original crypto payment pioneer that has been around for about 11 years now. They’re also known as the PayPal of the crypto world because of how long they’ve been around.

With over $1 billion per year in blockchain payments and millions of dedicated crypto users, Bitpay remains as a true crypto-only payment platform. Bitpay is also the global leader in blockchain payments enabling merchants to accept numerous forms of cryptocurrency.
