PPA Hyundai Masters: Johns and Waters Triple Crown

There has been no singles player in the last two years that's come close to Ben Johns, currently the number one ranked singles player, holding that distinction by an almost 2,000 point lead. Johns has medaled 70 times throughout his PPA career and is just getting started. We may be witnessing the first pickleball GOAT right in front of our eyes.

The brotherly duo of Ben and Collin Johns proved unstoppable at this years masters, claiming the men's duos championship. This was a huge performance for Collin, solidifying himself as the #1 ranked mens duo player in the world. I think it might be time to start asking what's in the John's family water, because they are playing at a different level than the rest of the field.

It should be no surprise that the two most dominant players in their respective fields came together and won the mixed doubles field. Anna Leigh Waters is a fifteen-year-old pickleball phenom who has taken the sport by storm. She is the top ranked mixed doubles player, with her partner Ben Johns coming in a close second.

There is no womens player more locked in than Anna Leigh Waters. She is currently the top ranked womens singles player in the world by over 3,000 points and took down the finals in two straight sets. It wasn't even close. It's Anna Leigh's world and everyone else is just playing in it!

Anna Leigh Waters and Anna Bright teamed up for the first time at this years PPA Masters and it's safe to say it was a good choice. The duo dominated the field the whole way through and won the tournament in two straight sets. It was a pretty incredible start for the first time partners. Could this be the pickleball version of Jordan and Pippen?
