It’s the first week of March, which means we’re about two weeks out from the official start of March Madness. That said, before we start the madness, we have to get through the chaos, and that chaos ladies and gents, is the wild adventure of conference tournaments. For some teams, the conference tourneys won’t matter much because their tournament spots are pretty much locked in.
For other teams, however, conference tournament time is a golden ticket to the Big Dance. This is the case for all twelve teams participating in the Sun Belt Tournament which tips off today. Before we get into the brackets, scheduling, and all that jazz, let’s first get into the Sun Belt standings.

ONE37pm’s Editor’s Pick
While the Texas Bobcats boast the number one seed, we’re picking Georgia State University to come away with the Sun Belt Crown this season. State is on a hot seven-game win streak that dates back to February 5th, picking up victories against South Alabama, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern, Louisiana Monroe, and LA-Lafayette. GSU has the senior talents of Corey Allen, Kane Williams, Justin Roberts, and Eliel Nsoseme to lead the pack, and despite COVID issues this season, the Panthers still notched the 3rd seed. We’ve got our bets on GSU.
There’s the schedule for the Sunbelt Tournament, be sure to keep up with us as we will be continuing our coverage for the remainder of the week.
