Vaults by Vans Teams Up With WTAPS for 15th Collaboration

It’s one thing if you can come together one time for a collection, but it’s a completely different ballgame when you can do it on fifteen separate occasions. That’s right, Vans has once partnered with WTAPS for their 15^th collection together, and this special edition features not one, but two drops, with the first drop being focused on Vans' footwear and apparel styles influenced by WTAPS’ utilitarian sensibility.

What exactly does this mean? Well, drop numero uno draws on the WTAPS bones motif, which is a signature of past Vault by Vans collaborations that features tonal colorways. The sneakers featured in this drop are the OG Chukka LX, the OG Era LX, the OG Half Cab LX, and the Half Cab.

Drop one also includes a selection of short sleeve t-shirts complete with custom back graphic and woven label, along with crew socks offered in both black and smokey olive colorways.

Now onto drop two, which is all about the winter wonderland baby! For the second drop, WTAPS brings their design perspective to reinterpret Vans’ snowboard boot and All-Weather MTE silhouettes. This includes footwear in the styles of the Hi-Country & Hell-Bound LX Snowboard Boot (which you can call the HCHB), the Standard Snow MTE and the Coast CC NS LX.

The HCHB LX has bunch of features for all of you outdoor winter enthusiasts including: V3 UltraCush (sounds cool), The North Face Flashdry liner (sounds cold), a V3 PopCush to elevate comfort (sounds frosty), and V3 Waffle Superenduro outsole with all-trac cold weather rubber compound (sounds icy) amongst others. 

The apparel range in drop two also features the WTAPS MTE Jacket and Pant, with the jacket being fully taped on the DWR-coated seams, welted pockets, and bungee adjustments on the hood and visor. Oh, and the pants are elastic and adjustable as well. The snow assortment also offers Cordura ballistic nylon constructed snowboard boots and helmet bags.

Vault by Vans x WTAPS drop one launches on WTAPS.com and select Vault by Vans retailers on November 5, with a follow-up release on Vans.com on November 29.

The second Vault by Vans x WTAPS installment will be available exclusively on WTAPS.com on November 19 followed by a global release date on Vans.com and select Vault by Vans retailers on December 16.
