VeeFriends Celebrates Friendship for Winter ‘22 Apparel Release

As part of the IP's ever-expanding universe, tomorrow VeeFriends is launching their latest foray into the world of style: The Winter '22 Apparel Collection. In typical VF fashion, the capsule invokes a roster of the beloved characters from the initial collection, selected by GaryVee himself:

The lookbook was shot at the iconic New York restaurant, Sweet Chick—featuring a cast of family and friends. True to the ethos of the VeeFriends brand, the Winter campaign is a celebration of friendship and gratitude for the time spent surrounded by loved ones. Even something as simple as a dinner at a favorite restaurant is an opportunity to appreciate and recognize the love that surrounds us all.

The campaign is capped with a special appearance by VF President Andy Krainak. We chatted with Andy a bit ahead of the launch to hear about what this collection means for the future of apparel within the VF ecosystem.

"With over 250 characters, there are so many different opportunities to try to story tell in a fashion vertical, so to have the selected VeeFriends characters represented in apparel is a really cool opportunity to grow the brand and awareness around VeeFriends," Andy explains the role of clothing in the ever-expanding universe.

Standouts from the collection include the Grateful Gar hoodie, which features a character immensely well-suited to apparel. I was curious to hear a bit about how they decided on the characters—Patient Panda, Authentic Anaconda, Selfless Sloth, Competitive Clown and the aforementioned Grateful Gar—for this collection:

"We selected them by looking at the character library and reverse-engineering what we think would be coolest to rock on a hoodie or sweatpants or tee shirt."

The hoodies and sweat pants are comprised of a plush, French terry, featuring a combination of printed graphics and satin stitched embroideries.

The long sleeve and short sleeve tees are 100% cotton, with printed graphics of the beloved VF characters. There is a corresponding version of the four garments for each of the five selected characters.
