The first day of spring is this Sunday, which means March Madness, April showers, May flowers, and…sneakers. Spring season is always a fun time in the sneaker universe, with pops of colors and previews of what’s to come in the summer. If you are a fan of basketball, many players drop their latest signature shoes around the time of the playoffs (which start in the middle of April), with a sizable amount of new colorways hitting the market from some of your favs. Of course, we’ve been monitoring the latest trends and drops over these past couple of weeks, and if you are anything like us, then you are probably wondering which sneakers you should invest in for the season.
This year’s spring trends aren’t too much different than previous years in the sense that spring brings simplicity. You have hot days, cold days, and days in between, and sometimes it feels like it never stops raining. For that reason alone, you don’t really see a lot of people busting out the kicks (at least their newer ones) on a daily basis. In fact, there might even be more days where you’re wearing rain and winter boots as opposed to sneakers. We’re saying all this just to reiterate that neutral simplicity is the major theme every spring season.
Since April is also the month of Easter, you can also expect a lot of white, yellow, and pink sneaker drops as we get closer to the holiday. That said, with spring officially official this weekend, we’ve decided to put together an ONE37pm Guide To Spring Sneakers. Now pay close attention to how this is going to work. We all know there’s gonna be a flurry of new releases making their way to SNKRS, Confirmed, and Finish Line, but we also know that with those specific drops, there’s a chance that you may not be able to snag a W. So we’re giving you five “lottery” sneakers so to speak, and five sneakers that we know for sure will be available to you.
Sounds good? Okay, let’s get to it. We’ll start with the “for sure” sneakers.
