The first day of spring is this Sunday, which means March Madness, April showers, May flowers, and…sneakers. Spring season is always a fun time in the sneaker universe, with pops of colors and previews of what’s to come in the summer. If you are a fan of basketball, many players drop their latest signature shoes around the time of the playoffs (which start in the middle of April), with a sizable amount of new colorways hitting the market from some of your favs. Of course, we’ve been monitoring the latest trends and drops over these past couple of weeks, and if you are anything like us, then you are probably wondering which sneakers you should invest in for the season.

This year’s spring trends aren’t too much different than previous years in the sense that spring brings simplicity. You have hot days, cold days, and days in between, and sometimes it feels like it never stops raining. For that reason alone, you don’t really see a lot of people busting out the kicks (at least their newer ones) on a daily basis. In fact, there might even be more days where you’re wearing rain and winter boots as opposed to sneakers. We’re saying all this just to reiterate that neutral simplicity is the major theme every spring season.

Since April is also the month of Easter, you can also expect a lot of white, yellow, and pink sneaker drops as we get closer to the holiday. That said, with spring officially official this weekend, we’ve decided to put together an ONE37pm Guide To Spring Sneakers. Now pay close attention to how this is going to work. We all know there’s gonna be a flurry of new releases making their way to SNKRS, Confirmed, and Finish Line, but we also know that with those specific drops, there’s a chance that you may not be able to snag a W. So we’re giving you five “lottery” sneakers so to speak, and five sneakers that we know for sure will be available to you.

Sounds good? Okay, let’s get to it. We’ll start with the “for sure” sneakers.

1. Nike Air Max Pre-Day

Release Date: March 2022

The 26th is National Air Max Day, and while you could always pull out the tried and true sneakers in your closet, Air Max day is the perfect excuse for adding another pair to your roster. Seven different colorways accompany the Pre-Day collection, so you shouldn’t have any problem finding one that fits your style.

2. Ultraboost Climacool

Ultraboost Climacool 2 DNA Shoes Flow pack Black GY1975 HM1

Release Date: March 2022

Simple black sneakers are on the list of Spring 22 trends, and well, this is a simple black sneaker. Just about every adidas fan has owned some variation of the Ultraboost in their time of being a sneakerhead, and from a technology and comfort standpoint, this isn’t too much different from the others. If you aren’t feeling the core black, you could also opt for the Cloud White and Carbon options.

3. Ghostbusters Ghost Smasher Men’s Shoes

Ghostbusters Ghost Smasher Mens Shoes White GX1648 01 standard

Release Date: March 2022

Some brands do the creepy crawly halloween-themed sneakers only during the month of October. Reebok, however, has been bringing the ghouls and goblins year-round. Their latest round of shoes in the Ghostbuster collection is certainly eye-catching, and nothing stood out more to us than the Ghost Smashers. These sneakers literally look like they can be found in an evil laboratory somewhere, and are sure to draw plenty of attention when worn.

You can never go wrong with the good ole 90s. We’ve been in a 1990s mood lately with our style here at ONE37pm, so if you are feeling similarly, then as always, the Instapump Fury is right up your alley. A true basketball shoe in every sense of the word, this is a good pickup for hoopers in need of a new gym sneaker.

5. Nike Infinity Kyrie Basketball Shoes

Finish Line

Release Date: March 2022

To say that Kyrie Irving has been spectacular as of late would be a massive understatement. When he’s not putting on 60 point performances, Irving is releasing bold, creative, sneakers that challenge the status quo. We’ve got four colors on this bad boy—White, Citron, Baltic Blue, and Bright Crimson, and they all blend together beautifully. Again, shoutout to Irving who’s been crushing it.

Alrighty then. Now let’s jump into some of the upcoming releases we have to look forward to. We’ll be covering these shoes more in-depth in the weeks to come, so we’ll mostly stick with the bigger releases.

6. Air Jordan 1 “USA”

Release Date: March 22, 2022

We came so close to not putting these on here. Not because we don’t like them, but because we want to make sure we have a shot at getting them ourselves. Do we even need to put a reason why we have this included on our list? Didn’t think so.

7. Nike Air Max 1 “Blueprint”

Release Date: March 26th, 2022

Dropping on Air Max Day, “Blueprint” is an absolute must-have, and definitely among the more unique Air Maxes we’ve seen in the past few months or so. Last year, everybody was so focused on the DQM “Bacon” re-release that other Air Max drops sort of got lost in the shuffle. Not the case this year.

8. Nike Dunk High “Setsubun”

Release Date: March 16th, 2022

While you’ll likely have to go onto the secondary/resell market to get these, there was absolutely no way this one could get left out. Look at the material. Nothing more needs to be said other than the fact that this shoe would be totally worth the investment.

9. Air Jordan 1 “Heritage”

Nice Kicks

Release Date: May 25th, 2022

Once you’re in the sneaker game for a long period of time, you can sort of begin to predict which shoes are going to be difficult cops and extremely difficult cops. This is the latter. Why? Because every red, white, and black Jordan 1 is. Heritage bears some resemblance to the Trophy Room drop from a year ago, and the Bloodlines in my opinion. The Bloodlines have been notoriously hard to get, and there’s no need to revisit the Trophy Room fiasco. Alas this is another opportunity to get a similar shoe. At least we think it is.

10. Air Jordan 5 “Easter

air jordan 5 easter 1

Release Date: May 27th, 2022

What did we say earlier about the Easter-themed colorways? This one is a little on the later side as it comes out in late May, but it’s still a sick shoe. Once every blue moon we’ll get a sneaker release date bumped up, so let’s hope that’s the case with these as it would be nice to actually get them during Easter weekend.
